Penguin power!
Ok, well my sleeping issues were starting to aleviate….. not so anymore….
Anyway, on with the penguin.
As you know I have recently decided to dive back into the world of Linux again, hoping that my old trusty Mandriva would still be good.
So I got my self a copy of Mandriva 2007, and installed it. 3D seemed to work strait out of the box (I had XGL working), and everything seemed to be nice and dandy.
Then I hit my first problem. Wireless. Now on Mandriva 2006, I have NEVER had an issue getting my Belkin wireless card working under Linux before using the ndiswrapper. Untill now. mandriva bitched to me aobut updating firmware, which I am not willing to do.
Also, I can not get Quake 3 Arena to isntall whatsoever. UT2004 works like a charm tho.
So whats next on the hit list? I’m going to kill Mandriva 2007 and replace it with Ubuntu.
I shall let you all know how that goes, altho Craig said that it has some issues with shell scripts, so we might ahve some quake/ut issues.
