Ok, so I’m sitting here in caufield room B2.15, its mid lecture break, and I figured I’d give my impresions on this campus.
It seems very much like peninsula, except taller insted of spread out. But theres also more people.
At the moment I’m seeing this as a negetive. This lecture is soo crammped, the lecture hall is smaller, but they are fitting more people in than comfortable.
My guess would be atleast 60-70 people in here, and its feeling cramped. This is comming from someone who spent 8-9 weeks strait in a management lecture at peninsula with over 120 people in them.
There just seems to be no room, I mean, Craig walked in late due to his sucky train timetable, and three people had to stand just for him to get to a seat. (Altho I think he enjoyed the attention).
I can’t really comment on the people here yet, havn’t had a chance to talk to many yet (read any), hopefuly that will change, because I know many people comment how nice the people here are. Altho that might just be those who come to Uni for partying only (hey its comming outa their pocket so I wont comment).
Sofar, I must say, I am not enjoying Caufield as much as i did Peninsula.
Hopefuly my other classes wont be as cramped/stuffy/*spews*

Man, I am on top of the moon still.
Not alot has been happening, I’ve been mainly preparing stuff for tutoring, which I think will be comming to an end soon. Reaching the end of my vast knowlage of Microsoft Excel and my limited knowlage of Microsoft Access.
Got a Visit from Sparky this evening. First time I’ve been able to chat to him without either of us being in a rush. Really cool chap.
Umm…. not alot else to type.

Well, V-Day, I must say, that was the best night out i’ve had…..ever. I’m still on cloud9 over it. A great evening with an absolutly brilliant girl. No I wont go into details. Thats private.
GreentubeLAN 4 is tomorow, this looks like it should be a tone of fun. We have gigabite network gear
comming, so that means that 0 pings everywere not matter what the game. Hey BF2 might actualy work this time
The preperations are going crazy, I’m about halfway through my “to do” list, and I’ve still gotta figure out were the hell we are gonna get cooling from on this blistering hot day, I think the curtens will be drawn, and the fans going on the highest setting.
Yes, me and Mike will be running the UT2k4 tournament again, with an increased first place cash prize, but we will also run AOE2, AND V8 supercars. It should be quite interesting to see how people progress through the tournament. I’m hoping to see Luke reach the UT2k4 final, and I’m hoping to be the one to knock out lari from the tournament
As Fatal1ty says: “practice practice practice practice, and if your not practicing you should be practicing, its the only way to win, its the only way to be number one, practice, practice.”
So what does that mean for me? Alot of public Instagib games in FFA mode, I plan on being the biggest shockrifle whore there.
Anyway, things to do.

I just felt like posting some lyrics to a song I’ve been listening to again recently, this ins’t the full song, but just the part I felt like copying. I think its beutiful song, and am in a good enough mood that I felt like sharing:
I cant stand to fly
Im not that naive
Im just out to find
The better part of me
Im more than a bird…Im more than a plane
More than some pretty face beside a train
Its not easy to be me
Wish that I could cry
Fall upon my knees
Find a way to lie
About a home Ill never see
It may sound absurd…but dont be naive
Even heroes have the right to bleed
I may be disturbed…but wont you concede
Even heroes have the right to dream
Its not easy to be me

I’m excited.
The latest patch for Quake4 is out. The game is now finsihed as far as I’m concerned, here are the reasons why:
-RailGun balanced. This involves quicker player acceleration to top posible speed, octagonal hitboxes insted of square ones, rail damage at 90 insted if 100, and starting ammo being 5 insted of 10.
-MoveMent. This involves smoothed out strafe jumping / crouchsliding, and quicker acceleration.
-Server snaps raised from 60 to 125, meaning you have to be precise to hit things.
-Q4TV, finaly we don’t have to watch shitting low resolution streams anymore, proper GTV for the motherf***ing win!
-NetCode fixed up so you don’t have to play on LAN to have fun.
-Sound nolonger drops.
-Shotgun spred less random.
Head over to www.idsoftware.com and download it, and be prepared for the greates DeathMatch experience ever!

Got a couple of things to talk about today.
The first being how suprised I am at alot of people still not re-enroled into their Uni courses, cutting it VERY fine I would say. For example, today when I went into Uni, foundout that Pau still wasn’t fully enroled back into our IT course. Then afterwards when I met up with Tracy, I found out that even tho she has had a very long and boring summer break, she was only just re-enroling today.
I guess this comes down to us Uni students just being plain lazy. I will admit I typicly leave everything to the last minute, assignments get rushed, exam preperation is spratic at best. And I know I’m not the only one, this seems to be the way with everyone I speek to at Uni except Adam, who is always three weeks ahead of schedual. And to be honst, I guess I also enjoy the rush of a last minute hurry. And it is quite funny sitting back chatting on MSN, all of a sudden for a friend to logon and go “hey, how do you program .smil files? I have to get this done before tomorow when its due.” (yes Tina, I am quoting you
)
If next 2007 semester 1 is going to be anything like summer semester units have been, I’m really going to have to pull my socks up (quite hard concidering they are ankle socks).
The other thing, this is my whinge for the day btw, is siblings. Yup, guess what, I’m stuck with a 16 year old adolecent female one. God, I thaught that all this arguing, apthy, hatred towards family, and all that was just for TV shows like the O.C. Oh man was I wrong. The whole family has been getting the whole “None of you understand me!” and “I hate you all!” oh and who can forget “My friends treat me better than you!” (keep in mind with the last one we usualy cna’t talk to her ’cause shes either yelling or crying at us about something or other), couple that in with the normal teenage hormone rollercoaster we are all to familiar with going through (particualy confusing for her, mainly because shes a bit of a tomboy [by that i mean doing alot of sports and physical activities] whilst trying to still being a typical girl [thank god she doens't want to start partying yet]).
Yes, I’ve tried blocking her out by closing my door when studying, or just trying to zone out whilst playing games, but then shes yells even more at me saying “You never talk to me, your either on the fucking computer or out with friends!”, to which I reply “well why don’t you go out with some of your friends too then?”, which only makes her start crying about not having any friends, totaly ignoring the fact that she was talking about her friends only ten minutes prior to biting my head off.
Oh what a lovly two years ahead of me I have putting up with he presuming I’m still living at home by the end of this year.
I’m just dreding the day she brings home her first boy friend *groans*

Now since I’ve been laying around alot, I’ve had alot of time to read books. A nice little gem I stumbled accross is the Bourne books.
These things are so differnt from the movies its not funny. It seems the only thing thats the same is the name. Now that is obvious, ’cause there is SO much that happens in the first book, so many twists and turns, that it would have never worked as a movie in its original state.
But then you look at another book -> movie conversion. The Sum of all Fears. OMG that movie… the start was the same. Then they totaly ruined it.
I partly blame Harrison Ford for that, not comming back to do the third Jack Ryan movie. Patriot Games was fairly close except the sucky ending, and Clear and Present Danger was totaly awesome, strayed a little, but in an artsy way which explained it all easier.
I LOVE the Jack Ryan books, I’m just hoping that by the time Rainbow Six is made they don’t totaly fuck up the movie. I can already see a couple of Jack Ryan conversions being screwed up due to main themes in them. Its just anoying. Bloody conservitive Americas.
I mean, in 24 its taken them, what? 5 seasons to blow up a freakin’ nuke!
In other news, my hole is still sore.
I’ll let you all know now, this blog has no point, its just me rambling about these movies

Okay, I’m back! After only one day away from here, I’m back!
The operation I underwent, was original planned to be smaller just to finish off what that other surgon was to lazy to do last time. However, they found another tract (for those that know what a pilonidal sinus you will know what I mean), so they had be a little more liberal with the aplication of the scalple.
Strangly, it doesn’t hurt as much as the one did last time. Infact, i cameout of theater, and the wound wasn’t sore at all (altho lateron I found out this was due to having a local ansetic at the wounds site, yes they had to leave the wound open), over the course of the night as the local wore off, still, the most pain I had was from the IV in the top of my hand.
I also recovered alot quicker, within four hours I was able to get up and walk around, and I went the entire night with no painkillers.
I have also learnt how to take partial care of it myself, I now know how to remove the keltestat (the stuff used to pack it to stop it healing incorectly) before getting into a bath, etc. Altho I still need help putting in a fresh wade of keltestat, which is quite embarising, but its somthing I will have to live with for the next month or two.
